Fire Contained at Engawala
On Tuesday 25 October Engawala had a fire that was about 20 kilometres away. Essential Services Officer (ESO) Eddie Owens and Adrian Price from Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC), and Keith from Alcoota Station were back burning to make the community and station safe from a bushfire.

Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) councillors Adrian Dixon (President) and Cyril Tasman were joined by acting CEO Leslie Manda at the National General Assembly (NGA) of the Australian Local Government Association (ALGA), held on 19-22 June 2022 in Canberra.
