Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) would like to wish everyone a happy NAIDOC Week. This year's theme is "For Our Elders", and we are proud to celebrate the contributions of our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders.

On 22 June 2023 over 200 Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) staff members gathered in Alice Springs for the first CDRC Staff Forum.
The Staff Forum, which was the first for CDRC, was themed "Weaving Knowledge, Connecting Hearts" and was a huge success. The theme reflects the Council’s goal of bringing together employees from different departments and levels to share their knowledge and experiences, as well as hear from relevant external speakers.

Today is National Sorry Day, a special day when we remember and reflect on the hurt caused in the past and how we can make things right. It's about acknowledging the tough times when Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children were taken away from their families, which we call the Stolen Generations.

On Thursday 18 May, Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) represented the Local Government Association of the Northern Territory (LGANT) at the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Expo.

Central Desert Regional Council’s (CDRC) team in the Australasian Local Government Management Challenge NT division have returned home with the trophy.

Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) is sending their team, Desert Think Tank, to the Australasian Management Challenge (AMC) Northern Territory division in Darwin next week.

Recently five Aged Care staff from Central Desert Regional Council (CDRC) completed their Certificate IV in Disability.
