In Yuendumu these activities range from cooking bush tucker to making bush medicine. Alongside this, CDP is rewarding the participants with bush trips every now and then. CDP ran a few bush trips partnering with Age Care Yuendumu to give back to old people from the community. The local mob enjoyed the bush trips and cooking activities.
“They mentioned that it is helpful for the young people to learn the skills and also divert them from getting involved in any unrest,” said Bimaldeep Singh, Program Manager - CDP Engagement, Yuendumu.
CDP continues to support community by running these cultural programs.
