The Trade Supervisor will take on the important role of training and mentoring local workers to develop their ability to work with increasing independence. The position calls for a person with sound building trade background with the versatility to take on a variety of different specialities.
This position is responsible for assisting the HR Manager implement and maintain professional human resource systems throughout Council. The successful applicant will be required to help in the implementation of human resource policies as outlined in the Local Government Act and as required by Council.
The respected elders of Yuendumu Community supported the Magistrate Court sitting in Yuendumu on 13 and 14th of December 2011. Prior to the court sitting, the elders from Mediation and Justice Committee met at the Mediation Centre for 3 hours, discussed on court list and made recommendations to the Magistrate. Eleven members including five women from the mediation committee were present at the meeting.
This position is responsible for ensuring that Council’s contractual obligations under the Power and Water Essential Services Agreement are performed in accordance with the Procedures and Operations as defined by Power and Water as and when required. The incumbent is expected to deliver and maintain Essential Services throughout the nine Shire Communities as and when directed by the Regional Essential Services Manager. The Relief Essential Service Officer is expected to mentor Indigenous Trainee Essential Services Officers accross the Shire.
